ABS edge banding strips are manufactured using Acrylonitrile-Butadiene-Styrene (ABS) copolymer as the primary raw material, formed through an extrusion process. As a thermoplastic engineering plastic, ABS combines the chemical resistance of acrylonitrile, the toughness of butadiene, and the ease of processing characteristic of styrene; consequently, these edge banding strips exhibit excellent impact resistance, abrasion resistance, and weather resistance.
Their surfaces can be treated via printing or embossing techniques to simulate various textures-such as fabric or wood grains-thereby meeting a wide range of decorative requirements. Furthermore, ABS material demonstrates excellent adhesion to adhesives, ensuring a tight bond with the edges of panel boards and preventing cracking or detachment even after prolonged use.
