T-shaped sealing strips-also referred to as profiled silicone strips or silicone extrusion strips for mechanical and electrical equipment-are custom-engineered sealing materials designed to suit specific equipment structures. Their primary function is to fill gaps, prevent fluid leakage, or provide a barrier against dust. The core mechanism relies on the elastic deformation of the flexible silicone material to fill irregular voids, thereby establishing a reliable sealing barrier. These products are commonly utilized in applications requiring dust and water resistance-such as electrical appliances, equipment cabinets, and machinery-and can also serve as decorative trim or protective cushioning.

T-shaped sealing strips are fabricated using silicone rubber as the base material. Silicone rubber is a polymeric material characterized by a main chain composed primarily of siloxane bonds; it exhibits exceptional properties such as resistance to extreme temperatures (ranging from -60°C to 250°C), aging, and UV radiation. The organic side chains within its molecular structure impart flexibility to the material, enabling it to achieve a sealing effect through compression or mechanical pressure. The product's profile is tailored to the specific interface design of the equipment; common cross-sections include T-shapes, L-shapes, and various other custom profiles. These strips are formed via an extrusion process, and their surfaces can be finished with either a smooth or matte texture to accommodate varying frictional requirements.
